Description

The Simpson Strong-Tie Titen HD® Threaded Rod Hanger (THD50234RH) is a high-strength screw anchor engineered to suspend 1/2" threaded rod from concrete slabs, beams, and concrete-over-metal applications — ideal for hanging pipes, cable trays, HVAC equipment, false ceilings, and other mechanical and electrical systems. The patented thread design undercuts the base material to efficiently transfer loads, while serrated cutting teeth enable fast, easy single-step installation with low torque and no secondary setting required. A specialized heat-treating process creates a hardened tip to facilitate cutting while keeping the anchor body ductile for long-term performance. Designed for installation with a rotary hammer or hammer drill using standard ANSI drill bits — no special tools needed. Installs with standard-sized sockets. Tested to deliver industry-leading performance in both cracked and uncracked concrete, including seismic loading conditions. Code listed per ICC-ES ESR-2713 under the 2015, 2012, and 2009 IBC/IRC. For dry interior environments only. Note: This anchor has a 3/8" shank diameter but is designed to accept 1/2" diameter threaded rod.
